Often in jest, one will refer to the severe cold weather we have been having and question the much publicized ?global warming theory.?? For all of you skeptics out there, the Bible does support the idea of global warming.? We find this proof in Gen. 8:22, ?While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.?? So you see, we can count on a global warming trend ? it?s called Spring.? Of course, we?ll watch out for the global cooling trend which will occur a few months later called Autumn.? Meanwhile, we?ll just deal with the cold of Winter, and the heat of Summer that comes every year in fulfillment of the commandment of God.
February 13th is a very special day in the history of the Church in the last century.? On that day in 1917, A. J. Tomlinson established the pattern of Government in the Church with the offices of the 12, 7, and 70, following the biblical pattern contained in the Old and New Testaments.
Forty years later, another preacher, Grady R. Kent, was continuing to preach the scriptural truth of the pattern and prophetic fulfillment.? After much pressure was exerted upon him to refrain from preaching those things, on February 13th, 1957 ? forty years to the day after Bro. Tomlinson established the pattern ? Bro. Kent resigned from his position, and went on to begin a new work to promote a Church set up according to God?s scriptural pattern, and operating in prophetic fulfillment.
We thank God for these great men.? The revelation that they saw is still true today, and God will have an Elect body of believers, established according to ?the pattern? which the Lord showed Moses in the Mount.? The men and women who will share that vision, and ?run in the race to receive the prize,? shall make up that Church which God will permit to go on unto perfection.? It will be a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
Then shall be heard the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.? Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.? Praise the Lord!
