"In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead." (Matt. 28:1-7.)

The turning point of history occurred on a hill outside the walls of Jerusalem called Calvary. Jesus' blood redeems us, but it was when Christ the Lord emerged from the tomb that our hope was confirmed. Jesus went to the utter parts of the earth and took from the adversary the keys of hell and of death. Death lost its grip on those who would believe in Jesus, and hell's claim on them was forfeited.

Words cannot adequately express that which lives in the heart of every born-again believer. I thank God for what was accomplished nearly 2000 years ago, by which I can know that I am truly saved!

Now we are approaching the time of the Feast of Firstfruits. We will be observing this Feast of the Lord, which culminates with the Day of Pentecost, June 5-8. We encourage you to join us during this special time of worship and fellowship.

Our continuing prayer is that this ministry continues to bless God's people. We are swiftly approaching the return of our Lord, and with each day that fact becomes more evident.

The time to sit back comfortably in our seats as we enjoy life in this "land of peace" is over. We must watch and be sober, redeeming the time, for the days are evil.

Let us cleanse ourselves from all the filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God, that we may be a glorious church - holy and without blemish.
